Buenaventura Riverfront Picnic Area Lay around in a hammock, next to the river skip stones, read a book, watch the river flow, listen to the birds ..under the shade of 400-600 year old trees, including a female and male Ceiba locked in a timeless dance of creation. Although the river is not safe to swim in during the rainy season due to swells, this spot along the upper bank of the river within the Buenaventura Eco-Park area is a safe abode from where you can watch the raging waters pass and be amazed at how the rain barely touches the rainforest floor. | ![]() ![]() |
